Zombie Q & A

Zombies have become a very popular genre of horror/apocalyptic topics.
Here is a couple of Questions & Answers of how I think a Zombie Apocalypse would occur.
1)Would it be a virus & how would it spread?It could be a mutated form of rabies,taking hours to infect host.The government have the means already to produce it,like they did anthrax & smallpox & have used illegal means to spread disease before.In Tuskeegee,Alabama for over 40 years,over 400 black men were injected with syphillis without thier consent(Tuskeegee Syphillis Expriment,google this for more info).This is to see how fast the disease would spread.Those who
don't learn from this would repeat it.This outbreak will affect all warm blooded animals as well:woodland & domestic,making this a super plague.

2)Military would take care of it.If you think quarantine & using lethal force on you,infected or not,then yes.Nuking a city?A city like Detroit has a nuclear reactor,the results would be catastrophic.Don't forget the FEMA camps you would be subjected to living.In short,it's a 3 way dance between you,the military,& the undead.So save yourself & your loved ones.

3)Best places to hide/weapons/supplies?
a)Army surplus stores have food,clothes,tactical gear,manuals of all kinds,close range weapons(machetes,shovels,knives),walkie-talkies,etc.This as well as a outdoor sporting goods store would be my top picks.Both sell similair items that will come handy.
b)a well fortified building such as school or prison would do good.If you stay home,stay away from windows,keep noise to a minimum,try not to make your presence known.
c)Guns can be acquired from a sporting goods store,armory,zombified cop/soldier/civilian if you don't have one already.

4)How fast could it spread?If several cities were being infected simultaneously with this virus,in the same manner done in Tuskeegee,the country would be under martial law in about a week.Hundreds to thousands of people & animals would be infected quickly & chaos would spread just as fast.

5)Skills needed to survive?
a)common sense-carry the weapons you are familiar with,learn communcation skills,don't be arrogant because you have a gun;you can't carry enough ammo to take on every undead out there.
b)use stealth-less zombies,the better.
c)Communication:verbal,hand,radio,smoke/flare/mirror/light

6)Travelling
a)travelling:no threat
b)travelling overwatch:possible threat
c)bounding overwatch:unaviodable threat
As a group,make sure each member is within sight(5 meters apart) & covers thier section of fire.
Remember that a group using muzzleloaders using stealth will outlive a group of noisy people using machine guns.

7)Types of undead
A)Slow moving B)Fast moving
1)can be outrunned 1)incredibly fast
2)have ninja-like stealth 2)attacks like a wild animal
3)attack in groups 3)can also attack in groups

8)Targets to hit:
a)Head-kills both living & dead(fast & slow)
b)Spine-kills a living target,cripples a zombie
c)Leg-disables both living & dead
You can always run up & finish a injured zombie to make sure he doesn't sneak up on you.
